Samarth Jojana 2021: Online Application Form PDF Download - Samarth (Fabric Sector Empowerment Scheme) is an approved skills development program in pursuit of the 12 FYP Integrated Skills Development Scheme, Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The industry is facing a shortage of skilled workers and provides many opportunities for unemployed youth in the country who are trained in the field. To address this issue, the Central Government of India has introduced the Fabric Sector Development Scheme (SCBTS) and renamed it the SAMARTH Scheme.

Objectives of Samarth Yojana 2021

The objectives of the program are to provide a skills-based, internship-based skills development program to encourage the industry's efforts to create jobs in the textile and related sectors to promote skills and skills in traditional sectors in the various sectors / organizations of the textile department; and to provide for the well-being of all sections of society throughout the country.

  • Promote handicraft skills, sericulture, jute, and traditional hand weaving industries.
  • Allow people to earn a living either by self-employment or by waged employment.




  • In order to empower people, the central government has signed MoUs with 18 states, which will teach the skills of the textile industry to four lakh people across the country.
  • This scheme will also benefit women. By empowering women, we give them the opportunity to move forward.
  • The scheme seeks to train 10.00 lakh persons (9 lakhs in the organised sector and 1 lakh in the traditional sector).
  • The ‘Samarth’ scheme aims to prepare textile workers in ready-to-wear garments, woven fabrics, metal handicrafts, handlooms, handcrafts and carpets.
